Send Money at a Location

Money can be sent from any one of our 400+ retail locations throughout Ireland.

Step 1

find an agent

Find your nearest Western Union retail location using our Agent Locator (click here)

Step 2

complete the form

Visit your nearest Western Union retail location and complete a "To Send Money" form.

  • Give the agent the completed form along with:
    • the money you wish to send and
    • the associated fees.
  • Identification documents are required for transactions of €1,000 and over (for more information regarding ID requirements freephone 1800 395 395).

Step 3

MTCN

Once the money has been sent the agent will give you, the customer, a copy of the "To Send Money" form and your Money Transfer Control Number (MTCN).

Step 4

call the receiver

Call the receiver to tell him/her the MTCN* and the amount of money sent. The transfer is now available for collection.
